Martin Kaymer, as a 2 time major champ, knows everything regarding the highs of life as a pro golf player.

Regrettably the 2 years since his US Open win in 2004 have been the most testing of his playing career. The German player lost his PGA Tour card and he is now confronting the prospect of missing out on Ryder Cup, this year, as well.

Speaking to a leading golf website, he told that generally he is a very patient player. He would not even say that he is stressed now but it is frustrating when you feel like you have it all, and then suddenly you could not even put a good score on the card.

He added that The Masters affects the way you prepare, the way you practice. Obviously this is all about the majors in their career and players have to plan a few months in advance what sort of events you want to be playing in before them.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Martin Kaymer defeated Shane Lowry in his first game at WGC Dell Match Play, and this stunning birdie at the par-5 sixteenth hole is what dangled the game.

Martin Kaymer is a professional golfer from Germany, playing for both the European Tour and the US PGA Tour, the two premier golf tours in the world. He is a two time major championship winner and had an eight week spell at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking in 2011.

Born in the city of Dusseldorf in Germany, Kaymer turned professional full time in 2005 at the age of 20 years. He has won eleven tournaments so far on the European Tour including four titles in 2010 that earned him the honour of being the first person to win the Race to Dubai, which was previously known as the Order of Merit. Among those four wins was the PGA Championship, which made him the first German since Bernhard Langer (and only the second in history) to win a major championship.

That same year, he won a World Golf Championship event, the World Golf Championship – HSBC Champions to become one of only ten golfers to win both a major title and a World Golf Championship title in the same year.

Martin Kaymer sank the final putt on the 18th hole on the final day of the Ryder Cup in 2012 as Team Europe overcame a deficit of four points to win the event against the United States. Continue reading “Martin Kaymer is a professional golfer from Germany”
